Affiliate Millions Make a Fortune Using Search Marketing on Google and Beyond

Anthony Borelli made the move from corporate employee to self-employed affiliate marketer in late 2004. He was initially attracted to this form of online business, which involves the placement of ads on behalf of online businesses such as Amazon, eBay, and Barnes & Noble, because it requires very little in startup costs and offers the added advantage of working with already established, successful e-businesses. He joined several companies’ affiliate programs and immediately began paying for and placing ads on their behalf with Google and other well-traveled search engines. By carefully selecting the right keywords, judiciously placing bids on these keywords, and tailoring his ads to induce results, he began to make thousands, and eventually tens of thousands, of dollars each month in resulting commissions. (His highest monthly check from affiliate advertising: $255,000.) In his first full year of business, he made over $1 million on Google as a search marketer and affiliate advertiser. He has acquired vast experience in composing ads, evaluating results, and maximizing profits, and he is eager to lead other entrepreneurs to the same kind of success.
